The Honralla Duphants Copy 507 Kang Mong 12th October 1960

  1. H. Alexander Exgr 18105 Acting Colonial Secretary Victoria, Mong Ming Sin

We have the honor in reply to your Letter of Colonial Secretary's Office, dated yesterday's date, & state, that the Police Magistrate has already informed us that on account of our not appealing within three days of determination of the Case by the Magistrate it is not competent for us to proceed with an appeal to the Supreme Court, it would therefore seem, we are debarred from the legal remedy; we suggest, & consider it most advisable.

I have the honor to be, most obedient Servant, Malexande Acting Colonial Secretary

You stated and the depositions be sure to follow this legal remedy open to you, it may appear to you other than most advisable to love to appear before the Court. Should you not wish to follow this, Jou any other slepe efiat- you.

The Magistrate also distinctly informs us in regard to our appeal as forwarded through His Excellency, the Acting Governor, & the Right Honorable, the Secretary of State for the Colonies, that he declines to furnish the required deposition "without directions to that effect from the Honorable the Acting Colonial Secretary". We are therefore again induced respectfully to submit our grievance for Consideration, humbly praying for redress of our grievance for Conserving.
